Actually my husband is primary for GC process.I am on H4 visa.How can he revoke I-140.My PD is may'03 and TSC

I am confused on how your H1B cancellation letter will impact your GC. If my understanding is correct your employer and your husband's employer are different, I don't see any relation. This is my guess and consulting an attorney will be the best.

Your lawyer does not know what he is talking about. There is no need to do anything. If you were on H1-B and still working at the same company, you are still under H1-B not under EAD no matter how you entered the USA.
You will lose H1B status if and ONLY IF, you use EAD.
AP is only a re-entry permit and has no effect on your immigration status.

However, you can reapply for H1 after you use your AP...As far as I know AP does have an affect on your immigration status...Please someone correct me if you know for sure that AP does not affect H1/H4 status...

I have not even used my EAD. I expect it to be related to Birth certificate as i didn't have original and submitted affidavit etc. But not sure may be something else too.
My lawyer had applied for EB2 in I-140 but approval came for EB3. then they reapplied and next approval came for EB2. May be that.
Just guessing as that's the only thing i can do now.
One intresting thing i think my case might have got picked is we applied for my husband's EAD and after that have seen soft LUDs on our cases. may be just coincidence.
what about biometrics? Did you have the issue of biometrics not being attached to file like most other nsc_csc_nsc people?

Since my current EAD is expiring Sep 10th, I'm planning to go to the local USCIS office for an interim EAD in first week of Sep.
What is the procedure, do i need to take infopass or any other apoointment or just walk in with papers ?
It's not yet been 90 days since i filed, but i still want to give it a shot. I plan to take a letter from my employer saying without interim EAD (without me being able to work) company would face a setback in a critical phase of project.
I also plan to use such a letter in support of an expedite request.
Gurus please advice:
- How soon should I fax expedite request?

- Could one interfere the other?

As for as I know USCIS local office has stopped issuing interim EAD some where from 2006.
The only option we have is to request for expedite process which we can do by calling the USCIS customer service number. This you can get it in the USCIS website.

option 1: to apply for extension with the USCIS .. (can someone please provide the process to do this)

option 2: Go out of the US (Mexico, West Indies) and return in 1 month?
option 3: Can you go to Canada like say at the end of month 4, stay there for a few days and come back into US for another 3-6 months. Does this work at all?

I got different answers from Khanna and Murthy.
Khanna office saying we can apply for 485 with old priority date(140 will be approved with new pritority date), murthy office said it's better to get 140 approval with old priority date and then go for 485.

Do all the banks which offer NRE accounts offer account services irrespective of which branch I open the account at? e.g., if I open an NRE account say in delhi, can I have access to and get service for the account say in bangalore? Or do I have to go to that particular branch where I opened the account? In this regard, which bank is better?
3. Which bank generally gives better exchange rates?
4. Any pros or cons in opening the NRE account at one bank vs. the other?

I will only answer # 2, the rest depends upon where you live.
for #2, I hope they are not yet that flexible and allow people to withdraw funds from any branch. The situation in India is not as secure as you see here. What kind of ID will you show if you want to withdraw from other branch? drivers lisence? I am not sure whether that is very secure yet in India. I would suggest to not even have an online access to your accounts and also insist on personal contact with the manager so he/she is aware of how you manage your account. Always try to do banking at only one branch in India. Not to scare you but it is safer. Hackers are not yet very rampant but if it happens then it will be very difficult to trace lost money.
I do have NRE/NRO accounts and none of them have online access. However the manager regularly sends me a statement in text format via email. Also for NRO accounts they issue statements which can be used for filing the income tax in India (make sure you do that). The manage asked whether I need online access and I declined.
If you need higher interest rates on your deposit open a NRO (fixed deposit) account. Your interest (after taxation) is fully repatriable to the US but the principal amount cannot be repatriated. The is useful if you want to do a long term deposit instead of real estate / share markets etc.

I am one of the July 2nd filer, EB2 India, PD is April 2005. There is problem if you filed 485 at NSC but got a receipt# starting with WAC we must address it asap.
I called up NSC with my Receipt that starts with WAC as it was send to CSC by NSC that processed the application send me the first notice with RD 07/02/2007. I again got the second I-485 transfer notice in September with RD 09/26/2007 saying my case has been transferred back to NSC office as they have jurisdiction over it. The IO says as my application receipt# starts with WAC it will processed by the CSC processing dates that is dead at May 2006 rather than the NSC processing dates that is at 10th August 2007 making my 485 eligible for processing.
If we do not solve this problem we could be lingering in CSC for years.
If there has been cases where someone had I-485 Receipt# starting with WAC but got processed by NSC processing dates as it was filed there please come forward.
Looks like there has been some TSC approvals for EAC receipts but no news on NSC, anybody please post here.

Also, bnaredla1382 mentioned that he/she has H-1B and is currently working on H1-B, is that a requirement? I do not have H1-B any longer and have been working on EAD since.

I need to know the process to do it.
My previous EB3 is with my old employer.
